Peach City Radio's Okanagan Vinyl Festival is back by popular demand, taking place on Sunday September 22nd at the Shatford Centre in Penticton. Vinyl collectors, music lovers and nostalgia seekers alike are encouraged to come and flip through thousands of albums that will be on hand for this 2nd annual event. Over twenty individual vendors from around BC will be offering records and equipment in wide
variety of styles and value. No record player at home? London Drugs Penticton and the Hi-Fi Attic of Vernon will have displays and listening stations to demonstrate the range of equipment available today.
Okanagan Vinyl Festival has something for everyone! Sip on something warm from Dogtown Coffee Company, check out vintage clothing and more at Perch Travelling Boutique, and peruse the Peach City Radio Vinyl Art silent auction. Local musicians will take to the Burger 55 sponsored stage throughout the day. Listen to The Gala Vanters, Michael Musclow, Aidan Mayes & Mandy Cole, and Maya Robbie. Door prizes, including 2 tickets to see Loretta Lynn live at the South Okanagan Events Centre, will be drawn throughout the day.
Admission to the event is $2, doors are open from 10 am to 3 pm, with a special $5 Early Bird hour from 9 to 10 am for those who are seeking specific vinyl treasures. All proceeds from the event will help Peach City Radio bring community radio to the airwaves of Penticton. So whether you are a record collector, or just aspire to be, check out Vinyl Fest on September 22nd.
