I'd like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. I hope you all enjoyed a safe and happy holiday these past couple of weeks.
As you know, 2015 was a great year for Peach City Radio in many ways - but 2016 will prove to be even more so! There are so many exciting initiatives on the horizon.
We ushered January in by taking possession of the Society's first-ever leased studio space. Two committees (Build & Design) consisting of board members & volunteers have already begun working to transform the space for the use of all members.
I'm so grateful to Factory 78 Holdings (the Cannery) as well as Rona and Benjamin Moore for making sizeable in-kind donations which will greatly help to get us get where we need to be. We are looking forward to making our Cannery studio a warm and welcoming home for CFUZ this year.
We're also closing in on our $30,000 Raise The Radio goal. If you'd like to be a part this fundraising campaign, NOW IS THE TIME. The benefits of making a donation at this stage (eg. our cool Raise the Radio t-shirts, or Founder status plaques) will come to an end when the campaign does - so act fast! We look forward to reaching this milestone which will result in YOUR brand new community radio station.
We are hosting a Volunteer Orientation later in January where you can learn about the various volunteer roles and opportunities available to all - keep an eye on our website and newsletters for details. The new year also is a great time to renew your membership if you haven't done so already.
I'd like to express a very sincere thank-you to all volunteers, programmers, supporters, committees and board members for your dedication and contributions of all shapes and sizes to date. We wouldn't be this far along without each and every one of you.
It's going to be a great year,
Huzzah huzzah!
