On Saturday, March 28, members, volunteers and supporters of Peach City Radio gathered at the Elite Restaurant in Penticton to celebrate another amazing year of programming.
The second annual RadioActive Awards were presented to programmers, volunteers and organizations in seven different categories, illustrating the fantastic breadth of content that is currently being developed at our station. You can view and listen to all the submissions here.
Global Spectrum and the team at the SOEC took home the award for Community Partner of the Year, and Tim Tweed repeated as Programmer of the Year. Eight Peach City Radio volunteers were honoured for their commitment to maintaining the integrity of the online stream, and The Old Time Country Show and Left Off the Dial were recognized for attaining their 100 episode milestones during the past year. Information on all winners can be found on the RadioActive Awards page by following the link below.
Peach City Radio would like to thank the army of volunteer judges from our community who spent their time listening to all the entries and providing their feedback.
The Retro party that followed the awards ceremony was a huge success, with many members and non-members dancing the night away to the smooth tones of DJ Kevin K at the Elite.
