After 4 1/2 years of work on this project we call Peach City Radio, the CRTC will meet today to hear our application to bring broadcast community radio to the FM band in Penticton.

At 1300h EST today (1000h PST) CRTC Commissioners will convene at the CRTC Headquarters in Gatineau Quebec to consider several applications for various licence renewals, changes and other items. Item #6 on the agenda today is the consideration of our application for an FM broadcast licence. The CRTC Commissioners presiding over the hearing will receive and comment on the application, as well as they will be made aware of all the amazing support we received from community members during the month of November 2014.

Once heard, the Commissioners will take the application under consideration, using their analysts and experts to help advise them on making their decision with regards to our application. Based on the experiences of our friends in community radio, we will be hopeful to hear back from the Commission with their decision sometime in the next 2-3 months.
